A Little About Jessica Tinklepaugh…

Where did you grow up and how long have you lived here?
My mother says she introduced another ray of sunshine to the Sunshine State the day I was born. I love living in the F.L.A. and I can't imagine ever leaving (unless of course to another country). I lived in Fort Myers for 15 years, moved to Naples in May 2016 to work with the Culbertson Naples Team and I'm loving Naples even more. Living where so many vacation feels like a forever vacation!

What activities do you like doing on the weekends when you're not doing insurance?
Currently, I spend most of my time off in the sunshine, exploring out on the Boat with my boyfriend, Allan, who is a very skilled Kite-boarder. (I am hoping to learn in the Dominican Republic soon.) I have also picked up painting with acrylics which has proven relaxing and surprisingly satisfying. I feel most free on the dance floor; line dancing first and foremost but I also love partner dances: 2 Step, Cha Cha, West & East Coast Swing, Waltz which I would love to do more of.

Do you have any pets? What are they and what are their names?
No pets as of yet. I plan to get a dog one day, but not until I keep my room clean............................... Yes, many a true word is spoken in jest.

If I was to meet you on the street, what's something that might not be evident from meeting you? Do you have a secret talent?
So Many secret skills, where to start. I am a good read of people. I see through what is said and notice details like body language, eye contact & subliminal emotion. I love to people watch. My photographic memory blows me away at times I can replay scenarios and recall details that I did not consciously notice. I often speak with accents for fun; English, British, Heavy Southern like my Nana, Spanish, you name it; I fake it, butcher it and make people laugh or just question my sanity. It's great fun.

If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life; what would it be and why?
I am a movie-a-holic, so the answer to this is NONE. I couldn't possibly chose just one. I rarely watch movies twice as I dislike already knowing the conclusion and my memory doesn't allow me to forget. I would say on an average week I watch at least 5 movies. I love all types too, but predominantly Romantic Comedies, Psychological Thrillers and Dramas. Documentaries are also included as I love to learn.

What was your childhood nickname?
Everyone Just calls me TINK, but it becomes and issue as my dad and sister also answer to Tink. My nephew calls me AJ (Aunt Jessica) I have never had anything else really stick, but some individual friends make up their own nicknames for me and I'll leave it to your imagination to decide why: i.e. Fancy, Puddles, Crash

If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?
Selfishly I want to say Power Mimicry, it would allow me to copy or absorb another's powers or skills, so I could cook like Gordon Ramsey, Kick Butt like Georges St-Pierre or sing like Adele. Truth is though, if it was ok with God, I would choose the power of Healing. I would love to be able to remove pain from others, heal their hurts and their hearts.

What was the last book you read? What did you enjoy about it?
I am currently re-reading the Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. I love that each time I read it a new concept or point is driven home for me. This book has helped me understand how to love others the way THEY understand love and respect. Highly Recommend.

Are there any celebrities people say you look like? Do you agree?
When I had dark hair in college people would say Katherine Zeta Jones, but since the Hunger Games movies became popular, more people have made a scene thinking I am Jennifer Lawrence. Of course, both are great compliments as these women are beautiful and are often cast in Lead Roles as strong, passionate, rebel characters.

Who do you turn to for advice?
My amazing support system, they've helped me avoid mistakes and clean up after some. Without name dropping, Thank You for the unconditional Love and Support: SBT, GLT, TC, AS, JM & LR If that didn't feel like an awkward award acceptance speech, I'm not sure what would!

What's your favorite quote and who said it?
"I don't embrace excuses, I embrace solutions." Jon Taffer
