How to Protect Your Car from Love Bugs

Written by Tyler Small
May 10, 2018

The best thing that you can do to protect your vehicle is to prevent the damage in the first place. If the bug acid has already done some damage, you will HAVE to paint; there’s simply no way around it. Don’t waste your money on paint repair kits. They will help, but they will not give perfect results. As a matter of fact, paint repair kits—like touch-up paints—won’t come anywhere close to looking good. It’s better to protect your paint than repair it.

Top 12 Causes of Death in the U.S.

Written by Tyler Small
April 06, 2018

For more than 30 years, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been collecting and examining causes of death. The CDC says that they collect and study this information for purposes of determining resources regarding healthcare, but we can also take these statistics to help make our lives better. I was surprised to see that the top 2 account for about 47% (that's almost HALF!) of the causes of deaths in the United States.

Written by Tyler Small
February 16, 2018

Millennials in the study, ages 18 to 36, guessed an even higher amount: 44% pegged the cost at $1,000 or more a year, compared with 29% of older respondents, the insurance study said.

Mission Trip Update - Dominican Republic 2014

Written by Brian Culbertson
July 14, 2014

Every year I have the pleasure of leading a team to the Dominican Republic to work in the small rural village of Hato Del Yaque. This community is rampant with drugs, prostitution, and children who are on the streets because of absentee parents. Our team of 29 adults and children just returned from the 2014 trip, which included a construction project and outreach to the children. Fort Myers Insurance Agency Featured on NBC-2

Written by Brian Culbertson
July 24, 2013

I was honored and a little nervous this last week to be interviewed for a story that local news station NBC-2 in Fort Myers was doing titled "Why are your home insurance rates going up?" Like all news stories, my 15-20 minute interview ended up being about 10 seconds worth of sound bites, but I did appreciate that at the end of the message the reporter used my recommendations on what homeowners can do to lower their rates, and that it seemed to be a pretty even sided review of an answer to this so often asked question.

2017's Top 10 Dangerous Toys

Written by Tyler Small
December 14, 2017

This is one of those things that crops up every year around Christmas because it's the time of year when toy-buying is highest. I can remember being a kid playing on the living room floor with a jump rope and I remember wrapping it around my neck to play like I was wearing it as a kind of necklace when my mom suddenly urged me to take it off because I could strangle myself. This was in the eighties just before the time of the Cabbage Patch Kid doll that would eat little-girls' hair.
