Where did you grow up and how long have you lived here?
I grew up in Bloomington, Indiana, which is the home of Indiana University and John Mellencamp. I have lived in Florida since 2001.

Are you married? Have any kids?
I have been married to my wife Amanda for 12 years, we met at the University of Alabama. We have 2 beautiful daughters, a 2 year old and a newborn.

What are at least 3 activities that you like doing on the weekends when you’re not doing insurance?
I love to spend time out on the boat, fishing, beaching, camping, watching Alabama football and going out to breakfast with the family.

Do you have any pets? What are they and what are their names?
The most unique pet we have is our ghost fish (meaning an empty fish tank). We had a huge Oscar fish named “The Clown” that occupied the tank for 14 years, and we just haven’t got around to replacing him yet!

If I was to meet you on the street, what’s something that might not be evident from meeting you?
I was a state champion in swimming in Indiana and I swam at the University of Alabama on an athletic scholarship.

If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life; what would it be and why?
Every time I come across Forest Gump when flipping through the channels, I stop and watch. I love the U.S. history, and I like the fact that the character didn’t let a shortcoming stand in his way of living a life of awesome experiences.

What, or who, are you a “closet” fan of?
I love watching the Tour de France bike race every July. It’s 21 days of grueling physical racing and mountain climbing to arrive at the end with 1 winner. Some people laugh or think watching people ride bikes is boring, but once you watch a few days there is actually a ton of strategy involved. Its captivating to watch the tactics and contenders emerge over the 21 stage race.

What is your dream car?
My father and I have a vintage Pontiac Grand Am in storage. He bought it new in ’75 and I convinced him to keep it all these years because I thought it would be a cool looking old car to drive one day. We’re just trying to find the time to restore it!
